Wish You A Very Happy Birthday Rithu Varma

Ritu Varma is a Telangana-born Indian film actress who primarily works in Telugu films. She is well recognised for her roles in the award-winning short film Anukokunda and the blockbuster Pelli Choopulu, both of which catapulted her to stardom overnight.

Ritu Varma was born and raised in the city of Hyderabad. Telugu is her mother tongue. She received her education in Hyderabad and graduated from Malla Reddy Engineering College with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Following her graduation, she competed in the Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow pageant and was named first runner up.

Ritu Varma rose to prominence with her role in the short film Anukokunda. In 2012, the short film earned the Best Film award at the 48HR Film Project competition, as well as Best Actor (Female) for Ritu. In 2013, the short film was presented at the Cannes Short Film Corner.

She entered the Telugu cinema business with her appearance in Anukokunda. Prema Ishq Kaadhal, in which she played a costume designer opposite Sree Vishnu, was her first Telugu film. Her next film was Naa Rakumarudu, which was followed by Yevade Subramanyam, for which she received an IIFA Utsavam nomination for Best Supporting Actress (Female). She has agreed to work on a Tamil project in China. Vijay Deverakonda stars in Her Pelli Choopulu, a Telugu romantic comedy. She is currently involved in a number of projects in both Telugu and Tamil.
