RRR is a finalist for an Academy Award!
The wonderful news that RRR’s Naatu Naatu song had been shortlisted for the Oscars in 2023 delighted the entire nation. After the movie was passed over in favor of Chhello Show as India’s official entry to the Oscars, director SS Rajamouli used his promotional blitz to overwhelm the film with nominations for the prestigious 94th Academy Awards.
RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, has achieved great success! All Indians should feel proud that their masterpiece, RRR, has made the Oscar shortlist for 2023. Resul Pookutty congratulated The Chhello Show and RRR on their selection to the Oscars in 2023 after hearing the good news on Twitter.
“Best wishes to @PanNalin and @mmkeeravaani for being selected for the #Oscars2023 shortlist,” the sound designer wrote, calling it “huge news for the Indian Film fraternity.” This is fantastic news for the Indian film community, yay! “These extraordinary artists are making a name for themselves around the world with their superlative work from India.” The film’s most recent success has just made the fans even more thrilled, as they have been rooting for the entire team ever since RRR made history by earning a spot on the coveted Golden Globes nomination list.
15 songs from a total of 81 have been chosen as finalists for RRR’s best song category. Other songs include Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Nothing Is Lost from Avatar: The Way of Water, and Lift Me Up from “Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has unveiled its shortlists for the 10 Oscar categories that will be presented in 2023. These categories include documentary and international features, as well as a documentary short subject, makeup and hairstyling, an original score, an original song, an animated short, a live-action short, sound effects, and visual effects.
Golden Globes 2023 nominations for RRR
The world was shocked when SS Rajamouli’s well-known film RRR received two Golden Globe 2023 nominations on December 12. It is well known that the Golden Globes serve as an introduction to the Academy Awards, and it appears that RRR will be nominated for a few Oscars as well.
