Following its November 4 premiere, “Love Today” enjoyed a successful box office run, but the movie also drew criticism for its misogynistic viewpoint, particularly from social media users. Perhaps the most criticised feature of Love Today was how the producers simply equated Nikitha’s “misdeeds” with Pradeep’s, ignoring the latter’s obvious violation of cyber safety standards.

Nikitha also learns that Pradeep’s phone contains the private images she shared with him but was supposed to erase after he saw them. This and several other errors on Pradeep’s part are casually ignored. The intriguing premise of examining the benefits and drawbacks of sexting, which many believe has become essential to dating, is also wasted.

Several well-known independent movies, including WhatsApp Kadhal, College Diaries, TV Kadhai, and App (a) Lock, were produced by Pradeep. Additionally, he created movies for Facebook, such as Clutch Release Problem, Poojai Atrocities, Ayudha, and Diwali Atrocities 1 and 2.

After playing the hero in a couple of movies, he focused on writing the script for a future film that would appeal to youngsters. Then he boarded Comali, a Jayam Ravi movie. The movie received a lot of appreciation for its well-written narrative and intriguing story. In recognition of the film’s success, Pradeep was given the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Filmmaker in 2021.
