NBK 108: During Ugadi, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s next movie debuted its first trailer.
On Wednesday, in honor of the Ugadi holiday, the first look poster for actor Nandamuri Balakrishna’s forthcoming Telugu movie, which is now known as NBK 108, was made public. “NBK Like Never Before” was the tagline on two posters that were made public. Balakrishna and the director, Anil Ravipudi, are working together for the first time on this project.

The film also has Kajal Aggarwal, who will play Balakrishna’s opposite, while Sreeleela will play the role of the father’s daughter. The composition of the music has been entrusted to SS Thaman. The remaining cast and crew have not yet been disclosed by the producers.
The last time Balakrishna appeared in a film was in the Sankranti festival action movie Veera Simha Reddy in Telugu. Balakrishna played both the father and the son in the movie, which was the one-millionth adaptation of Rayalaseema’s factionalism-based drama. Shruti Haasan and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar also appeared.
The movie made over 100 crores at the box office throughout its theatrical run. It was Balakrishna’s second consecutive film to gross over 100 crores, following Akhanda.
Neither the plot nor the acting truly held one’s interest in the movie. Veera Simha Reddy was rendered to a great extent likable by the sheer craziness the action sequences brought to the experience of watching on a huge screen, as well as by SS Thaman’s electrifying background soundtrack.
In a pre-release media interview, director Gopichand Malineni discussed working with Balakrishna and said that the movie was a fanboy ode to the actor.
“I saw his films as a child, and I’ve always wanted to present him in a particular light. With this movie, I was able to do that. I depicted Balakrishna as I would like to see him if I were a fan. I made this movie as a fan, and I believe that will appeal to everyone.
With his talk show, Unstoppable, Balakrishna just made his OTT debut. He has previously hosted the show for two seasons and was able to invite some of the top Telugu film stars and get them to open up.
