“Leo,” starring Vijay, returns to a number of large screens.

On October 19, in honor of Ayudha Pooja, the much-awaited movie “Leo,” starring Vijay in the title role, opened nationwide and filled a large number of theaters. ‘Leo’ lost its screens in the fourth week, despite holding a good hold for three weeks, as several Tamil films were launched in time for Diwali. Nevertheless, ‘Leo’s’ strong box office performance allowed the movie to reclaim a few Tamil Nadu theaters, and it gained more screens for its fifth week. The Vijay starrer spent the next week on over 100 screens in Tamil Nadu due to the failure of a few Diwali films.

“Leo,” which has already earned Rs 215 crore, is expected to reach new heights at the box office. It is already the highest-grossing movie in Tamil Nadu. After surpassing Rajinikanth’s record-breaking ‘Jailer’ (Rs 610 crore) at the global box office, the action movie ‘Leo’ has become the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023. “Leo” is currently the second-highest grossing Tamil movie ever, with Rajinikanth’s science fiction drama “2.0” taking the first spot.

“Leo,” which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, stars Vijay as the title character. Other significant roles go to Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Menon, Arjun Sarja, Sandy, Mysskin, Mathew Thomas, George Mariyan, and Priya Anand. Manoj Paramahamsa took care of the film’s cinematography, while Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack.

Leo’s over-the-top (OTT) release was delayed until a later time because the movie is still very popular in theaters and fans are eager to learn the OTT release date.
