This mythological drama Krishna Prema is directed by Telugu director H.V. Babu and features the lovely Radha (T. Suryakumari) and her unwavering devotion to Lord Krishna (Venkateshwara Rao) despite the constant mockery of her sister Chandravali (P. Bhanumathi) and Krishna’s wife, Satyabhama (Hemavathi).
Krishna calms Chandravali’s indignation by appearing before her in the appearance of her husband, Chandragopa (Addanki), and satisfies Radha’s spiritual yearning by making a surprise visit while wearing the disguise of Radha, showing that spiritual love differs little from the physical desires.
The movie is released under the Banner Star Combines and was produced by Ramaiah, and Swamy Pillai. The dialogue and songwriter for this movie were Tapi Dharma Rao Naidu who produced heart-touching and mythical dialogues that convince the audience with a divine tone. The music is given by Gali Penchala Narasimha Rao who was a well-known musician of the time.
