Young and dynamic hero Akhil Akkineni and stylish maker Surender Reddy’s crazy stylish spy action entertainer ‘Agent’ is all set for a grand release worldwide on 28th April. Rambraham Sunkara is ambitiously produced under AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema banners. Agent’s already released promotions have raised huge expectations with tremendous response. Producer Anil Sunkara, who is coming to the audience on April 28, shared the details of the film at a press conference.

As ‘Agent’ a prestigious film under your banner, Is it excitement or Feeling stressed?

I can feel both. To be honest, it is a bit stressful. Not about the result. The unit has been working day and night for the last month. It is a very big movie. One and a half hours of CG work. Each frame has a CG. It’s all stressful.

In what aspect is ‘Agent’ a big movie?

The Agent is a movie with a huge span. The Spy movie is outdoors. All are foreign locations. After the action sequences are choreographed and edited, it is difficult to make any changes. If there are small mistakes in ordinary entertainers and drama movies, they can be corrected. A movie like Agent cannot do that. That’s why it took so much time to achieve perfection.

We heard that the budget is also more than the market.

I have said so far. The word “market” is a myth. The content itself is Market. Spending on the right content can bring every penny spent on it back.

The market had grown a lot after you had started the movie. Didn’t it give you any advantages?

Definitely, it is an advantage. Because the market will increase, we believe that if we make a hit no matter how much pressure we get, we will achieve what we want.

Isn’t Agent a pan-India subject?

‘Agent’ is a content for everyone. But there should be at least three months for the Pan India release. There is an idea to focus on Telugu first and plan from the second week onwards. All the dubbing is already done.

There is an opinion that the producers are facing difficulties now in terms of budget and business, is it correct?

As far as I’m concerned, I am very happy. When the film started, it was clear that we were taking on a big challenge. We came with a mission. After the release of the Agent, Akhil’s span will be different.

Do spy movies get compared to Hollywood movies? How do you see that?

If you compare it with the James Bond movie, I am happy. Reaching that level is like winning the game.

How will the Agent be?

The Agent is an action film. The story is different. A story between three agents. Emotions are also strong. Akhil is like a before agent and an after agent. The visuals are grand. Astonishing. Agent is an extraordinary film that gives a great theater experience.

When a hero does real stunts in action movies, there is fear as a producer. What kind of suggestions did you give to the agent?

Young heroes prefer to do without a stunt double. As a producer, I tell the action choreographer to take care of the safety. I said no to the stunts that happened in Vijayawada the other day. If it is in Hyderabad, I think there will be good action masters and security. Akhil decided to do it there. All credit goes to Akhil in this regard. The audience will see many such adventures in Agent.

Can the spy character be serious? Or will it be fun?

There is fun in the Agent’s character. They see it in the trailer. He enjoys everything.

You have distributed many blockbuster movies.. but what is the reason for giving the Agent to another person?

It should be released on time, quality should not be compromised. If you give it to someone, there will be no financial pressure.

You are a successful businessman. Do you see the movie as a business? Or watch with passion?

I want to see it as a business. At the last minute, I think the film should be a hit (laughs). If you ask the producer if he wants ten crores or a super hit movie, he wants the film to be a super hit. We can’t say that every hit movie gets the money.

What was your state of mind when director Surender Reddy got infected with Covid?

When I talked to him, I understood the seriousness. In his village, there were only the government hospitals. All were put in one single room. They are dying one by one. He who was seen by the bed yesterday is not there today. When we get the feeling that the same thing may happen to us tomorrow, it is scary to imagine.

The reason for making Surender Reddy a producer?

Agent is a different project. It was his idea.

Any thoughts on directing?

I’m doing it. There is a spy genre movie.

Is the title of ‘Agent’ saved for you?

I registered the title of agent five years ago. Surender Reddy gave the same title to his film. I told you that we have already registered this title (laughing).

Are you doing both small and big films under your banner? Which one is more comfortable?

Both have their own comfort levels. If the movie is a big hit, the brand value will increase. Small films are better financially.

What kind of experience does the Agent give you as a producer?

Agent is a different and great experience. This is a movie that is being released under a lot of pressure. We wanted to lock in a date and somehow come on that date. We worked day and night for the last month for that date.

Are movies coming under 14 reels banner?

Yes, movies are being made under 14 reels. This year there will be some big announcements.

Sakshi Vaidya is entering the industry with this movie. How much will this movie help her?

She has a very good future. As soon as our film started, she started getting offers.
